It is no surprise I love Instagram. I share lots of photos, spend time interacting with different profiles, and find inspiration for other creatives on this social platform. Living in a digital age has many pros that we all benefit from, but too often we forget to actually print our photos out. I bring my camera everywhere, but all the photos I take stay on SD cards for an embarrassing amount of time (like years). I miss the days of dropping film off at Sams Club and picking up a stack of fun photos.
One of my goals for 2017 is actually doing something with my photos offline. The hangup is that scrap booking, photo developing, and making displays takes a lot of time. Or so I thought! Right about the time I was thinking about this new goal, I discovered Shutterfly Make My Book. I made photo books in the past, but easily got discouraged by how long it took to upload and arrange photos into a book. Ain’t nobody got time for that! I decided to give it a try and fell in love.
Shutterfly’s Make My Book Service saves significant time and allows you to enjoy all the perks of printed out photos without the hassle. I decided to upload all my Instagram photos from 2016. The Shutterfly designer took it from there with the photos and brief description I provided. They curated my photos and designing the most gorgeous photo book in just a few days. It saved me so much time!
I am in love with the finished product! It sits on our coffee table and is a great talking point for everyone who comes over. My friends love finding themselves in it and seeing the Instagram photos come to life. I think this may need to be a new tradition every year!
Have you tried Shutterfly Make My Book? How do you print your photos and make them tangible? What ideas do you have for displaying photos in your home?
