Outfit Details: Gap Dress, H&M Black Skinnies, Rhea Footwear Flats (c/o), Morning Culture Blanket
Most Minnesotans unanimously agree that October is this state’s best month. The mornings and evenings are cool, the afternoons are warm and sunny, and the trees migrate from green to yellow to orange to red. Our streets, forests and lakes look different every single day. It is absolutely glorious. If you have never been, please put visiting Minnesota in October on your travel bucket list!
October is my busiest season with work, school and personal life. Last year I was not in a healthy place and the month nearly ran me over. I was not eating well, sleeping well or maintaining a healthy life balance. Sadly, I barely enjoyed all the beauty October holds. As October approached again this year, I promised myself it had to look different compared to last year.
I feel most alive by getting outside and breathing in fresh air. My attitude changes almost immediately when I take a small break outside or go for a walk. It is amazing how quickly I can forget what I need the most to stay healthy and balanced. In between homework, overtime hours worked and trying to get to bed at a decent time, Jake has been holding me accountable to this. Thank goodness for husbands, I tell you! This weekend we spent some time wandering through our favorite Minneapolis park. Nothing compares to soaking up the crisp Autumn air and taking in all of the changing colors.
This time of year is always iffy for temperature so I bundled up with a few layers and brought along our blanket for cuddling. This outfit is one of my go to looks for the fall. You can never go wrong with a pair of black skinnies, blue suede flats (like Jess from New Girl!) and a dress layered on top. These Rhea Footwear flats are accompanying me everywhere! They are so comfy, stylish and practical. Even though I hate thinking about it, winter is around the corner. These shoes provide the non-slip technology I need for frosty mornings and fast paced work environments (because let’s be real, I am clumsy). Thank goodness for comfortable outfits and taking breaks for fresh air among the busiest seasons!
Thank you Rhea Footwear for keeping my feet happy and sponsoring this post!
