Before my friends and family read this with their jaw dropped, I must make a disclaimer. I still don’t like coffee and will win the bet against my dad and husband that I will not be drinking coffee by thirty. Now that we have that out of the way, welcome to today’s blog post on making your own toasted marshmallow campfire coffee.
Unlike me, my sister is the queen of coffee. She’s had a love for coffee since day one, manages her own coffee shop and makes up drinks like a master. As we were pondering ideas for Father’s Day and unique ways to show appreciation, we thought back to our childhood and how much we loved camping with our family. I am so thankful our parents instilled a love for the outdoors and fresh air in us.
If I were a coffee drink, I can imagine waking up and making coffee over the campfire would be amazing. The sentimental vibes it brings along with the toasty flavor makes me want to rethink that bet with my loved ones. Unfortunately very few of us can go camping all day, everyday. Because of that, Leah and I crafted our own toasted marshmallow campfire coffee recipe, inspired to bring the sense of camping and love for the outdoors to your morning coffee routine.
To bring the campfire feel to iced coffee, we made a french press cold brew poured over ice with a shot of toasted marshmallow syrup and a bit of cream. We had a little sister park date as we made this concoction. The ice stayed frozen for in the classic one hand vacuum mug for an impressive amount of time and the toasted marshmallow campfire coffee worked perfectly in the adventure stacking pint glass. Our family is partial to Stanley Brand products for this very reason — they can keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold for hours on end! This recipe is seriously so easy and can be made in your home, on the go, while camping, you name it. Talk about versatility!
